Internationally acclaimed trainer and Maestro German Baca was born in Peru. In the spirit of the 'old Spain' ancestry of his father who was a classical trainer, German is a professional horseman.

Maestro German has an uncanny ability to connect to the horse; he is so in tune to the horse that he can sense what a horse thinks, needs and wants. German is on Esclavo XXV at right on the Summerland, Ca beach and preparing a Spanish horse in Canada (above left).

Skilled in classical ways, Maestro German combines the mastery of the art of dressage with the basic horsemanship of the ancients along with the long years of experience with many types of horses.

The trainer of such incredible horses as RDS Don Diego de la Vega+, German has won many championships in the U.S. with the Peruvian breed.

He loves working with all breeds and currently is training two Andalusian stallions (Esclavo XXV is one) and has is also training a Lusitano stallion for WindDance Farms. Canadian champion Andalusian stallion El Santo MC was in his barn in 1999 to 2000.

The mustang stallion of the animated film "Spirit of The Cimarron" - Dream Works - was trained by maestro German Baca.

A lovely Egyptian Arabian stallion, a beautiful buckskin Azteca gelding, a chestnut AQHA mare and several Peruvians, including Casa de Vida's 'Marengo', are among his current charges.

Located in Santa Maria, CA., Maestro German likes to say that he "takes the problems out of horses."
